Publication governance
Editorial and correction policy
HOL Guard public security claims are evidence-bound, reviewed, expiring records. A claim that reaches its expiry date without re-review enters the stale queue instead of remaining silently current.
Publishing checklist
- Named owner role and reviewer role
- Current source evidence and evidence class
- Review date and future expiry date
- Material limitations and unsupported states
- Public correction path
- Neutral comparison review when competitors are named
- Security-response review for active threat campaigns
Claim expiry and reminders
Owners receive review-state reminders when a governed claim enters the 14-day and 3-day windows. Expired claims are queued for re-review, correction, retraction, or removal from current publication surfaces.
Recurring integrity reviews
Category and comparison set
quarterly. Review category definitions, competitor set, same-metric neutrality, source freshness, and unknown-versus-unsupported states.
Crawler documentation
quarterly. Review crawler directives, llms.txt, sitemaps, canonicals, machine-readable endpoints, and material crawler documentation changes.
Editorial rules
- 1. Separate sourced facts, modeled analysis, product coverage, and recommendations.
- 2. Preserve material limitations, unfavorable results, null results, and unsupported states.
- 3. Publish corrections and retractions without converting them into third-party authority wins.
- 4. Never trade payment, access, or sponsorship for a favorable comparison, ranking, citation, or recommendation.
- 5. Expire claims that are not re-reviewed by their evidence-specific deadline.
Corrections and retractions
Material corrections remain visible. Retracted public artifacts retain a clear tombstone where needed so old citations do not resolve to silently rewritten claims.
