Answer in brief
CVE-2022-31099 records a Unknown severity vulnerability in Stack overflow during recursive expression parsing. The current sources do not mark it as known exploited. The current feed maps rulex (crates.io). Check affected ranges and fixed versions before updating.

HOL Guard separates source facts from reviewed analysis. See the methodology.
A CVSS score is not reported in the current record. The current sources do not mark it as known exploited. Treat this as a source-backed prioritization signal, not a statement about your environment.

When parsing untrusted rulex expressions, the stack may overflow, possibly enabling a Denial of Service attack. This happens when parsing an expression with several hundred levels of nesting, causing the process to abort immediately. The flaw was corrected in commits `60aa2dc03a` by adding a check to recursion depth.
