Answer in brief
CVE-2023-5236 records a Medium severity (CVSS 4.4) vulnerability in Infinispan: circular reference on marshalling leads to dos. The current sources do not mark it as known exploited. The current feed maps Red Hat/protostream (generic), Red Hat/protostream-integrationtests (generic), Red Hat/protostream-processor (generic), Red Hat/protostream-types (generic) and additional mapped packages. Check affected ranges and fixed versions before updating.

A flaw was found in Infinispan, which does not detect circular object references when unmarshalling. An authenticated attacker with sufficient permissions could insert a maliciously constructed object into the cache and use it to cause out of memory errors and achieve a denial of service.
