Answer in brief
CVE-2026-12866 records a Critical severity (CVSS 9.8) vulnerability in CISA ADP Vulnrichment. The current sources do not mark it as known exploited. The current feed maps n/a/expr-eval (generic), n/a/org.webjars.npm:expr-eval (generic). Check affected ranges and fixed versions before updating.
Analysis pending evidence review
HOL Guard separates source facts from reviewed analysis. See the methodology.
CVSS is 9.8. The current sources do not mark it as known exploited. Treat this as a source-backed prioritization signal, not a statement about your environment.

All versions of the package expr-eval are vulnerable to Code Execution via the toJSFunction() API. An attacker can execute arbitrary JavaScript by supplying crafted expressions that are compiled into native code using new Function(). Because user-controlled expressions are transformed directly into executable JavaScript, attackers can escape the intended expression sandbox and run arbitrary code within the application's context.
