Answer in brief
CVE-2026-15714 records a Medium severity (CVSS 6.5) buffer overflow vulnerability in CVE-2026-15714. The source record does not mark it as known exploited. No package mapping is present, so exposure must be confirmed against the affected product and deployment inventory.

Review the upstream advisory, identify the affected product in your inventory, and apply the vendor update when one is available.
Buffer Overflow describes the vulnerability class recorded for this advisory. The current record does not mark CVE-2026-15714 as known exploited; continue to monitor the source for status changes. This is a product-level record in the current feed, not a package-level dependency mapping.
Affected software not mapped. Review the upstream record for vendor-specific product and version guidance.
An out-of-bounds read vulnerability was found in libsoup's multipart processing subsystem. The flaw exists in the soup_multipart_input_stream_read_headers() function inside soup-multipart-input-stream.c, which does not adequately restrict or validate the size of incoming multipart boundary strings. When processing a crafted HTTP response containing a malformed or oversized boundary parameter, the internal stream reader reads past the allocated buffer bounds. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can exploit this behavior to cause a service denial (DoS) through application failure or potentially read fragments of unauthorized memory metadata.
Reported by NVD (nvd).
