Answer in brief
CVE-2026-34000 records a Medium severity (CVSS 6.1) vulnerability in Xwayland: xorg: x.org x server: information disclosure and denial of service via out-of-bounds read in xkb geometry processing.. The current sources do not mark it as known exploited. The current feed maps Red Hat/tigervnc (generic), Red Hat/xorg-x11-server (generic), Red Hat/xorg-x11-server-Xwayland (generic). Check affected ranges and fixed versions before updating.
Analysis pending evidence review
HOL Guard separates source facts from reviewed analysis. See the methodology.
CVSS is 6.1. The current sources do not mark it as known exploited. Treat this as a source-backed prioritization signal, not a statement about your environment.

A flaw was found in the X.Org X server. This out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the XKB geometry processing, specifically within the `CheckSetGeom()` and `XkbAddGeomKeyAlias` functions, allows an attacker to read uninitialized or out-of-bounds memory. An attacker with a connection to the X11 server, either locally or remotely, can exploit this without user interaction. This could lead to the disclosure of memory contents or cause a denial of service by crashing the server.
