Answer in brief
CVE-2026-34444 records a Critical severity (CVSS 10.0) vulnerability in Lupa has a Sandbox escape and RCE due to incomplete attribute_filter enforcement in getattr / setattr. The current sources do not mark it as known exploited. The current feed maps scoder/lupa (generic). Check affected ranges and fixed versions before updating.
Analysis pending evidence review
HOL Guard separates source facts from reviewed analysis. See the methodology.
CVSS is 10.0. The current sources do not mark it as known exploited. Treat this as a source-backed prioritization signal, not a statement about your environment.

Lupa integrates the runtimes of Lua or LuaJIT2 into CPython. In 2.6 and earlier, attribute_filter is not consistently applied when attributes are accessed through built-in functions like getattr and setattr. This allows an attacker to bypass the intended restrictions and eventually achieve arbitrary code execution.
