Answer in brief
CVE-2026-9150 records a Medium severity (CVSS 6.5) vulnerability in Libsolv: stack-based buffer overflow in libsolv's debian metadata parser when handling sha384/sha512 checksums. The current sources do not mark it as known exploited. Affected software not mapped in the current feed; confirm the named product and version against your inventory.

A flaw was found in libsolv. This stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability occurs in libsolv's Debian metadata parser when processing specially crafted Debian repository metadata. An attacker could exploit this by providing malicious SHA384 or SHA512 checksum tags, leading to memory corruption and a denial of service (DoS) in the affected system.
