Answer in brief
CVE-2026-98833 records a Unknown severity vulnerability in mtd: core: call _get_device() with the master MTD. The current sources do not mark it as known exploited. The current feed maps Linux/Linux (generic), Linux/Linux (generic). Check affected ranges and fixed versions before updating.
Analysis pending evidence review
HOL Guard separates source facts from reviewed analysis. See the methodology.
A CVSS score is not reported in the current record. The current sources do not mark it as known exploited. Treat this as a source-backed prioritization signal, not a statement about your environment.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mtd: core: call _get_device() with the master MTD __get_mtd_device() calls the master's _get_device() callback with mtd, which may be a partition. __put_mtd_device() passes the master. This breaks gluebi partitions because gluebi_get_device() uses container_of() and therefore requires the master MTD. Pass the master to _get_device(), matching _put_device().
