Deadbolt

Give agents tools. Keep control.

DeadBolt puts a deterministic permission check immediately before each protected tool call. Developers set the policy; the trusted executor runs an action only after a fresh explicit allow. Build it in with Rust, bolt on the local HTTP sidecar, or gate a trusted stdio MCP server. Python, Node and an optional OpenAI Agents SDK integration are included. Control tool policy, short-lived leases, one-use approvals and identity revocation. The v1.1.0-rc.1 prerelease adds credentials scoped to a run and approvals bound to exact action arguments. Stable v1.0.3 remains available. Apache-2.0. Built by NextEleven. Protects connected dispatch paths; no whole-agent sandbox or cancellation of running actions. Independent adoption testing remains open. AI-generated narration is used.
