Answer in brief
CVE-2026-115455 records a Medium severity (CVSS 6.5) vulnerability in Gcc: stack overflow in std::bitset on libstdc++. The current sources do not mark it as known exploited. The current feed maps Red Hat/gcc (generic), Red Hat/gcc13 (generic), Red Hat/gcc-toolset-15-gcc (generic), Red Hat/gcc-toolset-16-gcc (generic) and additional mapped packages. Check affected ranges and fixed versions before updating.

HOL Guard separates source facts from reviewed analysis. See the methodology.
CVSS is 6.5. The current sources do not mark it as known exploited. Treat this as a source-backed prioritization signal, not a statement about your environment.

A flaw was found in GCC libstdc++. When an application extracts data into a bitset from a wide-character stream, internal stack memory allocation fails to properly account for character size and alignment. An attacker capable of supplying crafted input to an affected application could trigger a stack-based buffer overflow leading denial of service (DoS).
